When ArtsWorcester in Worcester, Massachusetts had a show themed about fashion in 2018, I knew I had to do something involving cyanotypes. I decided to do a multi-layer white dress which had bicycle gears in cyanotypes all over it.
The show was entitled “After A Fashion”.
It took quite a while to plan this out, since I had to expose each section of the dress separately. But I got it done! The dress was shown off at the show, and now I wear it to special art receptions.
People keep asking me to make some for them, but with the amount of work involved in creating this, I’m just not up to making any more at this point in time.
